TAS In Session: Passion Pit

Few artists have kicked up the kind of buzz Passion Pit has kicked up in 2009. The band, hailing from Cambridge Massachusetts (yes, that Cambridge), have only been playing together for a little over a year. And after only playing a handful of local shows, they were voted "Best New Act" by The Boston Phoenix. Passion Pit catapulted from there, opening up for the likes of Death Cab For Cutie, Franz Ferdinand and Girl Talk. The Alternate Side was fortunate to score an intimate in-studio interview and performance with frontman Michael Angelakos. While it may be easy for some critics to dismiss Passion Pit as just another hyped up blog band that will come and go, this beautiful stripped-down performance proves that these gents have the talent to stick around for awhile.
