"Cavalcade" is proud to foster a new tradition: Fordham University President Tania Tetlow returns as our roving reporter from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
A huge music fan and New Orleans-raised, President Tetlow is up at 6 p.m. for her second annual check-in from the music festival that boasts marquee headliners such as The Rolling Stones, Vampire Weekend, Jon Batiste, The Killers, Foo Fighters, and Queen Latifah.
But it's the Big Easy heritage acts that are the soul of Jazz Fest, and I'll feature all of those in a generous play of artists booked for this, the first of two four-day weekends of the event.
