The Best of 2019 ... So Far

New music has always been at the heart of what we do at 90.7 WFUV and each week we highlight a recently released album that we really like — and call it FUV's New Dig. Summer's here and we're at halfway point of 2019, but before we dive into the other side of this year, here's a look back at the 22 albums that we've picked as New Digs over the past six months. We hope that you've liked them too.

Some of the releases come from young musicians making auspicious debuts, like Maggie Rogers and Yola. Other albums come from legendary artists whose careers span decades, like Bob Mould and Bruce Springsteen. There's brassy chamber pop from Beirut, galloping blues via Tedeschi Trucks Band, and sweet sibling harmonies too, courtesy of Bailen.

We've rounded up all of the reviews below, in the order that the New Digs were chosen, and have pulled together a sampler Spotify list of tracks from every single album for three-plus hours of music discovery.
