Guster: The Sheen Center 2024
There's plenty of celebratory milestones for Guster this year. They're marking the 30th anniversary of their 1994 debut album, Parachute, and the 25th of 1999's Lost and Gone Forever. They've been sauntering around the States with sold-out shows at Morrison, Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Nashville's Ryman Auditorium and their victory lap continues later this month at Newport Folk Festival and at The Ford with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Best of all, Guster have released their ninth album — and first in five years, Ooh La La.
At a recent Marquee Member concert at New York's The Sheen Center, the engaging camaraderie of Ryan Miller, Adam Gardner, Brian Rosenworcel, and Luke Reynolds made for an 11-song concert brimming with effusive warmth and scope, a career-spanning set list that included two contrasting songs from Ooh La La — the upbeat "Keep Going" and stately "Black Balloon" — as well as an fan-fave oldie from 2006's Ganging Up on the Sun, "Satellite."

This autumn, Guster's Ryan Miller and writer Nick Blaemire will also premiere a new musical, Safety Not Guaranteed, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).
