[May 2018 update: Ahead of FUV's High Line Bash on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Milk Studios, this week FUV Live revisits sessions from the artists that are part of the benefit's line-up — like Josh Ritter.]

Longtime FUV fave Josh Ritter just seems to be getting better and better! That says a lot for this masterful and modest songwriter from Moscow, Idaho now living in Brooklyn, New York.

His new album, Gathering, is his ninth, and it once again brings lyrical gems backed by all kinds of musical stripes, thanks to his longtime band of top notch players, The Royal City Band. Diving into classic country and working with Bob Weir are two of the latest inspirations for Ritter, who also adds painter, novelist, and dad to his list of jobs.

At our FUV Live show taped at Gibson New York Showroom, Ritter was bursting with joy while playing these new songs, bouncing around on stage and delivering flawless, soulful vocals. You can hear the whole show below.
