Kareem Rahma & Tiny Gun: 2025

Kareem Rahma has his hands in every cool New York City scene, including music. Rahma, the multi-hyphenate creative, is probably best known for his social media features, “Subway Takes” and “Keep The Meter Running.”
He is also the lead vocalist for Kareem Rahma & Tiny Gun. Tiny Gun is made up of local New York City musicians Tyler McCauley (guitar/keys), Dale Eisinger (drums), Matt Morello (bassist) and Joe Tirabassi (guitar). McCauley and Rahma actually met while they were coworkers at Vice; they reconnected years later when Rahma texted McCauley and just said, “I want to make a song.”
As curators of a comedic catalogue of tongue-in-cheek tracks, Kareem Rahma & Tiny Gun have steered toward more earnest singles, leading to their 2024 debut EP, No Worries If Not.
The band's recent single, "New Year New York," is a celebration of New York City and all the chances you get to say “yes” when you live in a place filled with so many people, projects, and possibilities. It’s an unpretentious homage to the place that has given Rahma the chance to explore so many different creative avenues, supported by his band who helps him make music.
Kareem Rahma & Tiny Gun recorded with Vanessa Silberman’s Brooklyn label, A Diamond Heart Production, so it’s truly a local project through and through.
In this "FUV Live Session," Rahma and his Tiny Gun bandmates played a three-song set comprised of “New Year New York,” “Baby I Could Never Win” and “Time.”
The band also sat down for a conversation — and Rahma explained how he's juggling his many unconnected projects thanks to close collaborators — namely pals who actually know how to play music.
