In 2016, Lucy Dacus knocked us out with her debut, No Burden. She continued to impress everyone with her 2018 follow-up, Historian, and collaborative work with friends Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers in boygenius. Now she's back with her third solo album, Home Video, and we added the element of "home" when Lucy checked in with me for our "Marquee Live at Home" series.
On the album or wherever Lucy performs them, these new songs gracefully reveal snapshots of gripping moments. Dacus's empathy, wisdom and creativity really shine through in the lyrics — and they did in our conversation too.
