Morning Brief: March 9

Soccer Kicks Off

Yesterday was the culmination of years of planning and excitement for certain New York City soccer fans—New York City Football Club, or NYFC, played its first regular season game ever. The new MLS team tied this year’s other expansion team, Orlando City SC, 1-1, and the team looked great in the baby blues. Now only a week away until the home opener at Yankee Stadium.
