Morning Brief: November 11

Get your bugles ready! Manhattan’s 5^th Avenue will be the site of the annual “America’s Parade” to honor U.S. military veterans. Veterans Day is held on November 11^th each year to mark the day that combat ended in World War 1.

  The events are marked today in dozens of other countries under the name of Remembrance Day or Armistice Day.

The local Filipino community anxiously awaits word from the islands after a massive typhoon devastated the island [WNYC].
