Nora Jane Struthers is a Jersey girl who briefly taught in Brooklyn before casting her fate to music and migrating to Nashville. The gamble paid off, as she's been warmly received in Music City and has put together a first-rate band, The Party Line.
Struthers brought her bandmates to WFUV to perform songs from her new album, Champion. While the album reflects serious concerns like fertility, the music is ebullient, and the band virtually lifted the roof off of Studio A.
