Passengers Mark 'Miracle On The Hudson's' 5-Year Anniversary

Tomorrow marks the anniversary of the US Airways Flight 1549 crash into the Hudson River. Five years later, passengers still keep in touch.

To commemorate the day, the passengers are coming together in New York City and Charlotte, North Carolina. The flight was originally departing out of New York City to Charlotte on Jan. 15, 2009, when it crash landed into the Hudson River. All 151 passengers survived, which is why the crash is now called "The Miracle On The Hudson". 

Ben Bostic was on flight 1549. He says he's grateful for the crash because it's turned the passengers into a strong community

"You know the passengers and the people who lived through this with me, these people are part of my life now. Becasue every single one of them are just some of the best people you'd ever want to meet".

Fellow passenger Dave Sanderson says the flight has changed his approach on life. 

"I think i have a lot more gratititude in my life, and I am really much more focused on making sure that I am there for my family. Where my priorities were probably a little out of whack, it helped me readjust and focus on what's really truly important in my life."

Passengers from all over the country on Flight 1549 still see each other often. They call these meet ups "Celebration of Life" parties.
