Sunday Supper for January 12
Today's "Sunday Supper" toasts two of America's premier songwriters: Steve Earle, the outspoken product of Texas and Tennessee, who spent many fruitful years living in New York City, turning 70; and Ellis Paul, a Maine native who burst out of the fertile Boston music scene before settling in Virginia, hitting the Big 6-0.
We also honor Peter Yarrow, s major figure of the folk community for more than 60 years, who passed at last after a long battle with cancer at 86. You can't overstate Peter, Paul & Mary's impact on folk music in the '60s or their commitment to social justice through the decades. Finally, we have a preview of Tuesday's "On Your Radar" at the Bitter End with Niall Connolly, Damsel, and Nick Carter.
Toasty music for a cold January afternoon from 4:00-6:00 PM EST at 90.7 FM and streaming online, also on-demand in the Archives, on the WFUV app, or the weather-resistant smart speaker of your choice.
